Candle Safety Instructions
For your safety and to ensure the proper use of your candle, please read and follow these candle safety instructions carefully. Candles are an open flame and must always be used responsibly.
Before lighting your candle, remove all outer packaging, wrapping, labels, and decorative materials. Candles must never be burned while inside boxes, containers, or arrangements that are not specifically designed to withstand heat.
Always place your candle on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface or candle holder. This protects surfaces from heat damage and reduces the risk of tipping. Ensure the candle is positioned away from the edges of tables or shelves.
Trim the wick to approximately 5 mm (¼ inch) before every use. A trimmed wick helps maintain a controlled flame, prevents excessive smoke or soot, and reduces the risk of uneven burning. Remove any wick debris from the wax pool before lighting.
Candles should be burned for no longer than 4 hours at a time (and less for smaller candles). Extended burn times can cause the wax to overheat and may affect both performance and safety. Always allow the candle to cool completely before relighting.
Keep candles away from drafts, including open windows, fans, air conditioning, or vents. Drafts can cause flickering flames, uneven burning, and increase the risk of dripping or smoking.
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always extinguish the flame before leaving the room or going to sleep. Candles should be kept out of reach of children and pets at all times
Maintain a safe distance between your candle and flammable materials, including curtains, soft furnishings, bedding, furniture, and decorative items. Do not place candles near shelves or enclosed spaces where heat can build up.
Do not move or touch a candle while it is burning or while the wax is still hot. Allow the candle to cool completely before handling or relocating it. Discontinue use when approximately 1 cm of wax remains at the bottom of the candle.
Failure to follow these candle safety instructions may result in fire hazard, damage, or injury.
